Mainstream Wellbeing & Inclusion Pilot

Overview

The Mainstream Wellbeing & Inclusion Pilot is a new offering designed for all girls in Years 7–10. This program supports identity safety, emotional regulation, resilience, and belonging through structured circle practice, guided wellbeing discussions, and conscious creative activities.

Developed in alignment with NSW wellbeing and inclusion priorities, the pilot provides schools and community groups with a practical, relational, and emotionally safe framework for supporting girls during the early stages of womanhood.

Program Focus

The Mainstream Pilot centres on:

  • identity safety and self‑awareness

  • emotional regulation and resilience

  • belonging, connection, and peer relationships

  • respectful communication and relational skills

  • wellbeing literacy and practical life skills

  • creative expression as a tool for grounding and self‑reflection

Each session is designed to help girls feel supported, confident, and connected — both to themselves and to their school community.

How the Pilot Works

The Mainstream Wellbeing & Inclusion Pilot is delivered through structured wellbeing sessions that blend circle practice, guided discussion, and creative activities. Schools and community groups can choose the delivery model that best suits their needs.

Flexible Delivery Options

  • Single wellbeing session

  • One‑term program

  • Semester program

  • Full 12‑month wellbeing journey

This flexibility allows schools to integrate the pilot into existing wellbeing frameworks, timetables, and inclusion strategies.

Where Sessions Are Held

All sessions are delivered on school grounds or within community spaces. This ensures accessibility, consistency, and alignment with school wellbeing systems.

Session Structure

Each session includes:

  • a grounding practice

  • circle‑based sharing

  • a guided wellbeing theme

  • a conscious creative activity

  • practical tools for emotional regulation

  • reflection and closing ritual

Themes are age‑appropriate, trauma‑informed, and designed to support girls through the social, emotional, and developmental changes of early adolescence.

Key Outcomes for Girls

By participating in the pilot, girls will:

  • strengthen their sense of identity and belonging

  • develop emotional regulation skills

  • build resilience and confidence

  • improve communication and relational awareness

  • feel more connected to peers and school community

  • gain practical wellbeing tools they can use daily

These outcomes support both individual wellbeing and whole‑school inclusion goals.

Holding Space for All Girls

Holding space is central to the Mainstream Pilot. It means creating an environment where every girl feels safe to show up exactly as she is — seen, heard, and valued.

The pilot supports girls to:

  • express themselves without judgment

  • build trust and connection

  • explore their identity safely

  • develop emotional literacy

  • feel supported by peers and facilitators

This approach strengthens wellbeing, inclusion, and school culture.

Delivery Options

Schools and community groups can engage the Mainstream Pilot through:

  • a single wellbeing session

  • a one‑term program

  • a semester program

  • a full 12‑month wellbeing journey

This allows schools to trial the pilot or embed it as a long‑term wellbeing initiative.
