Who am I

My name is Fiona Kimm Richards, Founder and Lead Facilitator of Sista Business. I work with girls in NSW schools and community groups to support identity, belonging, emotional regulation, and wellbeing through circle practice, guided discussion, and conscious creative activities.

My work is grounded in relational practice, emotional safety, and culturally respectful approaches that honour each girl’s lived experience.

My Work With Girls

I support girls in Years 7–10 through two wellbeing streams:

  • Cultural Stream – Aboriginal Girls Program

  • Mainstream Wellbeing & Inclusion Pilot

Both streams are designed to help girls feel seen, heard, valued, and supported during the early stages of womanhood. My role is to hold space, guide conversations, and create environments where girls can explore identity, build resilience, and strengthen connection.

My Approach

I believe wellbeing grows through:

  • emotional literacy

  • connection and belonging

  • creative expression

  • culturally respectful practice

  • relational trust

  • gentle, structured support

Every session blends circle practice, grounding activities, and creative tools that help girls regulate, reflect, and connect.

My facilitation style is warm, calm, and intentional — creating space where girls feel safe to show up exactly as they are.

Why I Do This Work

I have spent years working with girls, schools, and community groups across NSW. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when girls have:

  • a safe space to talk

  • trusted mentors to guide them

  • a group to belong to

  • tools to regulate their emotions

  • opportunities to express themselves creatively

This work matters because girls deserve support that is relational, culturally respectful, and grounded in wellbeing.

My Background

I work closely with NSW Schools and Support Teams to ensure programs are safe, structured, and aligned with school priorities.

  • a future Train‑the‑Trainer pathway for school staff

  • creative, hands‑on wellbeing activities

  • structured circle‑based programs

  • culturally respectful and emotionally safe delivery

My goal is to support girls, strengthen school communities, and create wellbeing spaces that feel grounded, gentle, and transformative.
